Becca Irvin graduated with a BFA in ceramics in the spring of 2014. After graduation, she worked on an apprenticeship under the direction of Greg Pace, a renowned master potter. Pace and Irvin built a 65 cubic foot gas firing car kiln that they use to fire their wares. Under Pace’s direction, Irvin learned to calculate glazes and master the crystalline glazing process. Originally from Jackson, TN, Irvin now works full time in Pace’s studio, Pisgah Hwy Pottery, right outside of Asheville, North Carolina at the foot of Mount Pisgah.
