Jammie Williams is a professionally trained oil painter and sculptor who lives and works in Nashville TN.
He attended both Watkins College of Art and Design as well as Tennessee State University as a painting major and has studied with Nationally known artists Juliette Aristides and Greg Decker.
He learned traditional sculpting techniques while serving for several years as chief assistant to nationally known sculptor Alan LeQuire and has sculpted many portraits for the Country Music Hall of Fame including; Roy Clark, Barbara Mandrell, Charlie McCoy and Reba McEntire among several others. He is also a member of the National Sculpture Society and the Portrait Society of America.
Williams has been chosen by the National Gallery of Art to be a part of their online educational resources. He is a Portrait Artist and Figurative Artist in Painting, Drawing and Sculpture.
Williams teaches figure drawing and sculpting privately as well as in groups and is currently the portrait drawing and portrait sculpting instructor for the Renaissance Center.
