Artist Name: Jennifer Sterne
Medium/Technique: Painting Conservation
Jennifer Sterne was always artistic. After high school she worked for a fashion designer as a dyer, learning how to mix pigments and hand-dye fabrics. She then studied studio art for a year at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia.
Sterne went on to receive her degree in art history and classical studies at the University of Rhode Island. She has since had an internship in the conservation department at the RISD Museum of Art in Providence, performed restoration work at the New Orleans Conservation Guild and worked at Belmont Hills Conservation Studio, a consortium of conservators sharing space and projects. Sterne now lives and works in the Nashville area. Her studio is located behind Harpeth Art Center.
